Terms and Conditions

Thank you for choosing Custom Plastic Printers, Inc. d/b/a PlasticPrinters.com ("PlasticPrinters" and also referred to us as "we", "us" or "our"). To ensure excellent service, our terms and conditions are set forth below. Using our website, obtaining a quote or placing an order constitutes acceptance of these terms. Therefore, if you have any questions, please contact us.


PlasticPrinters is pleased to provide you with a free quote. You must provide accurate specifications because our quotes are based on the information provided. If the order deviates from the original specifications (copy, artwork, electronic files or other specifications), PlasticPrinters may need to review and modify the quote. Art submittal specifications guidelines are located on our web site. Project quotes are valid for up to 30 days unless PlasticPrinters notifies you otherwise.


PlasticPrinters provides a proof to give you the opportunity to ensure that your project will meet your specifications. Please check all card specifications on this proof form carefully because once a proof is approved, PlasticPrinters will not accept any liability for errors found after the cards have been printed. This proof indicates the spelling of the text matter, location of all type, and colors. PlasticPrinters recommends that you double check the proof to make certain the proof is accurate. If you wish to correct the proof, you may do so and resubmit the files. If your changes require creative work by PlasticPrinters, such as art creation, modification or proof revision or result in PlasticPrinters issuing more than 2 proofs, additional charges apply.


PlasticPrinters will try to match colors as closely as possible to ensure correctness and accuracy. However, because of standard variation in the printing process, you agree that PlasticPrinters’ cannot guarantee a color match. In addition, the proof does not represent actual colors because colors appear different based on the equipment and viewing method. For example, colors may appear different based on the type of computer, monitor or printer, and printing on plastic is at 300 dots per inch (dpi) whereas printing on paper is at 1200 dpi which may also make the colors appear somewhat different. If you have questions about color, please contact us or you can check the color further in a PMS color chart or pantone book. In addition, if color accuracy is imperative, you can request a press proof which shows how the color will actually print. Although there is an additional fee for a press proof, this is the best way to ensure the color matches your needs.


For your convenience, PlasticPrinters offers creative design services at the highly competitive rate of $75 per hour. PlasticPrinters staff can create your logo or other artwork. Creative design services are billed in 15 minute increments. PlasticPrinters retains ownership rights of sketches, copies and all other creative work we develop or provide until the work is paid for.


Upon receipt of project proof approval, PlasticPrinters will charge 100% of the quoted project price. Unless PlasticPrinters’ accounting department has approved credit terms, you must make full payment of the quoted project price before PlasticPrinters will begin production. PlasticPrinters accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover or payment by PayPal, check, or wire transfer.

Upon completion of the project and, prior to shipping, you must pay for any charges beyond those already paid for, such as charges for shipping, additional taxes, creative services, rush fees and/or any sales tax payable for the services.

If terms are extended, accounts not paid on time are subject to a 1.5% monthly finance charge. If the account becomes past due, you also agree to pay PlasticPrinters’ collection costs and fees associated with account collection, whether litigation is initiated or not.

As security for payment, PlasticPrinters may hold and place a lien on any of your property in PlasticPrinters’ possession. PlasticPrinters’ lien rights apply even in cases of extended credit, accepted notes, trade acceptances, or guaranteed payments.


PlasticPrinters can receive purchase orders via general mail, courier, phone, fax or electronic mail. However, to promote accuracy, all oral orders must be followed with a confirming written communication by letter, fax or e-mail.


You should always maintain a copy of all original files whether you submit your file via email, CD or other format. PlasticPrinters is not responsible for accidental damage to files or media that you supply or for the accuracy of finished input or final output. We cannot evaluate our ability to work with your digitally submitted files until we receive them and we cannot assume liability for problems that may arise from your digitally submitted files.


PlasticPrinters begins production promptly upon receiving proof approval and payment, unless the printing also requires personalization or other value added steps that require you to provide files. For that work, PlasticPrinters will begin production turnaround time when we receive complete and correct files.

PlasticPrinters production is typically 10 business days. Upon completion, PlasticPrinters will promptly ship your order. PlasticPrinters is not liable for delays due to state of war, riot, civil disorder, fire, strikes, accidents, actions of government or civil authority, acts of God, or other causes outside of our control.

Client acknowledges that pieces may be subject to horizontal and vertical shift of up to but no more than 1/8" and to plan artwork / text accordingly. The safe zone for all non custom pieces is indicated on the artwork template.


PlasticPrinters can generally accommodate rush orders but rush orders are subject to our management and production approval. Contact us with your deadline so we can help you determine whether to expedite production, shipping, or both. PlasticPrinters will charge additional rush fees based on the production and delivery time requested.


You may cancel an order prior to production or during production. However, PlasticPrinters will be entitled to payment as determined by PlasticPrinters for all work already performed.


PlasticPrinters can often print on materials you provide if the materials meet our specifications, such as correct weight and thickness. All materials that you provide must be usable without alteration or repair by PlasticPrinters. In addition, PlasticPrinters is not responsible for discrepancies between delivery tickets and actual counts or spoilage by PlasticPrinters.


PlasticPrinters endeavors to print the quantity of items you order. However, given the printing process, some deviation in quantity can occur. Any over-runs and under-runs will not exceed 10% and PlasticPrinters will bill for actual quantity delivered. If you require a guaranteed quantity, you must specify that requirement at order approval and your request is subject to PlasticPrinters’ approval.


You grant PlasticPrinters the right to feature any product in its advertising or promotional material unless you specifically notify us in writing of your objection when you place your order.


By submitting material to us, you warrant that the subject matter to be printed is not copyrighted or otherwise protected by a third party and that you have not removed a copyright notice in preparing the subject matter. Because subject matter does not have to bear a copyright notice to be protected by copyright law, absence of such notice does not assure a right to reproduce. By submitting material to us, you also warrant that it does not contain content that is libelous or scandalous, or content that threatens anyone’s right to privacy or other personal or economic rights. However, PlasticPrinters may, in its sole discretion, refuse to print content it views as illegal, libelous, scandalous, or otherwise improper. Because you are responsible for ensuring that all content is legal and appropriate, you agree to indemnify, defend with counsel approved by PlasticPrinters, and hold harmless PlasticPrinters, its affiliates, directors, officers and employees against any and all losses, claims, damages, legal fees, expenses or liabilities which PlasticPrinters may incur as a result of content you provide.


You must report any shortage, error, damage or any other concern relating to the project to Plastic Printers in writing within 24 hours of delivery of the shipment. PlasticPrinters must authorize return before you return any product. PlasticPrinters’ liability extends only to the reprint of the product as it was approved on the proof, and only upon return of the misprinted product. PlasticPrinters is not responsible for replacing stock or materials you provided.

Any damages, loss or issues with product after PlasticPrinters transfers the project to the carrier become your liability and responsibility other than printing errors made by PlasticPrinters which you report to PlasticPrinters within 24 hours of delivery of the shipment as explained above. If you do not report any shortage, error, damage, or other concern within 24 hours of delivery of the shipment, the project is deemed accepted with the agreement that PlasticPrinters has satisfied the terms, conditions and specifications of the project.


PlasticPrinters warrants that the work will conform to the description in the agreed upon order. PlasticPrinters disclaims every other warranty. For example, all copy, proofs and preparatory work shown to you are intended only to illustrate the general type and quality of the work; they do not represent the actual work. PlasticPrinters’ maximum liability for all damages, whether by negligence, contract or otherwise, will not exceed the dollar amount paid to PlasticPrinters and PlasticPrinters will not be liable for special, indirect, incidental or consequential damages, loss of profits, economic loss, or loss of goodwill.


You may request that PlasticPrinters retain materials for occasional printing, such as in the case of printing names on membership cards. PlasticPrinters will retain materials until you have accepted the project. However, PlasticPrinters will not be liable for any loss or damage to stored material.



PlasticPrinters typically maintains an inventory of all standard (non-customized) products offered on its online store. PlasticPrinters generally processes and ships these items with 24-48 hours of you placing the order. If you need to cancel an order, you may do so prior to shipment and PlasticPrinters will process a credit for the purchase price less the PayPal order processing fee.


You may return all on-line store items within 24 hours of the delivery of the shipment. Prior to returning items, you must obtain a return authorization number from PlasticPrinters. Returned items must be unused and resalable and in original packaging. If your return meets these conditions, PlasticPrinters will issue a credit for the purchase price less a 15% restocking fee, PayPal transaction fees and shipping charges paid by PlasticPrinters. You are responsible for shipping costs to return product.


Minnesota law shall govern these terms. The failure to use or assert any right set forth in these terms is not a waiver of any right. These terms are the entire agreement between the parties with respect to the subject matter covered in these terms. Therefore, they supersede all prior agreements or statements relating to such subject matter. PlasticPrinters may amend these terms by publication on our website.
